Position Description
Manages a unit within a department. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures for the unit. Represents the unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff.

Major/Essential Functions

Supervises a unit in a department that has institutional oversight responsibilities; coordinates activities of personnel and procedures to carry out departmental objectives according to established policies and procedures. Provide program management and administration of the Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) program for a Telemedicine Certificate course.  Supervises additional staff that participate in FIT lab instructional activities.  Reports to the Senior Director of the InHiT Division of the F. Marie Hall Institute.

  • Collaborate and help develop materials for the certificate course.

  • Develop and revise OSCE exams.

  • Coordinates exam facilities, materials, and patients for the exams.

  • Provide guidance to ensure key processes are developed, implemented, and measured against teaching requirements.

  • Teach students about telemedicine through hands on instruction and lectures.

  • Oversee compliance with regulatory requirements and timelines set by leadership.

  • Ensure accurate and comprehensive reporting, including course accreditation requirements.

  • Develop and maintain effective working relationship with all stakeholders.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in education or other job related field plus three years’ experience in telehealth/telemedicine or related technologies; OR a combination of education with emphasis on instructional design, occupational learning, and/or related experience to equal seven years.

  • Two to three years’ experience in a management position including curriculum and exam management.

  • Strong skills in partnership-building with diverse groups.

  • Clinical education experience preferred.

  • Strong writing experience.

  • Interpersonal skills.

  • Experience in a healthcare physician practice  office especially in telehealth is a plus.

  • Familiarity with best practices, project management and process improvement.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel, Word, Access, etc.
