|Performs administrative and supervisory work related to the management of a specialized unit; usually reports to a Director. Responsibilities encompass the coordination of activities involved in the management of the unit or support services. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on attainment of established goals; may be responsible for supervision of all employees assigned to the unit of responsibility.|
Effectively process ePAF's. Serves as point of contact to all supervisors with regard to ePAF processing and review.
Assists faculty/staff/retirees, with benefits questions. - Conducts research to identify/resolve problems. - Follows-up to insure conclusion. - Notifies/informs Permian Basin employees of new and relevant benefits information.
Assists with New Employee Orientation benefits presentation and reviews all new hire paperwork. Answers questions pertaining to
benefits/insurance. Uses ERS System to access benefits information and verifies Summer Enrollment changes.
Assists with entering new employee benefits information into the ERS System when new employees are hired. Verifies information for
accuracy and conducts audits of data entry.
Processes background checks utilizing the HireRight system, communicates with hiring manager, and assists with review of invoices for accuracy.
Supervises/trains HR Employees on HR Functions
Represents Office of Human Resources at TTUHSC meetings and events in the absence of the Director.
Assists in resolution of employee relations issues. Ensures that policy and procedures are referenced when addressing issues.
Manages the local WOW program, Workforce Overall Wellness. Works with WOW Director in scheduling meetings and meeting goals and metrics.
Attends conferences and seminars to gain further knowledge to improve HR functions.
Performs related work as assigned by supervisor.
|Bachelor's degree in related area required plus four years progressively responsible supervisory experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.|
|Prefer at least three years of HR generalist experience. Proficient in use of Microsoft office suite of products. Ability to plan, organize, and work within mandatory deadlines. SPHR/PHR Certification|
