Position Description
This a responsible professional Position with limited administrative and supervisory duties at the unit level. Specific duties include testing, psychological evaluation and diagnostic services as well as counseling assigned patient caseload. This position functions under the supervision of a higher level licensed psychologist, but the individual has full professional responsibility for higher actions and advice.

Major/Essential Functions
Provides professional assessment and referral services to clients by developing, maintaining, and evaluating a local referral network of treatment resources in the community. Provides short term therapy to clients. Monitors and coordinates client care.

Accept referrals of at risk youth associated with identified school systems, screen them with tools deemed appropriate by treatment team; make recommendations according to results, and provide results to appropriate resource systems. Staff will monitor and follow up on progress as necessary to fulfill the reporting requirements of the grant.
  • Develop TWITR Project procedures for referral, assessment, and recommendation processes.
  • Administer assessments of at-risk youth for diagnosis and disposition.
  • Development of treatment recommendations per individual assessed.
  • Participate in monitoring, reporting, and evaluation components of the project.
  • Management of medical and case files for each student referred.
  • Development and implementation of training modules for school staff.
  • Establish and maintain productive working relationships with TTUHSC staff and community contacts.
  • Contribute regularly to the public platforms created by the grant for support to school faculty.
  • Facilitate Telemedicine appointments with TTUHSC Department of Psychiatry.
  • Communicate all treatment recommendations with school referral source.
  • Positively participates in team based work.
  • Empowers other team members to participate in team based projects and activities.

Preferred Qualifications
Minimum required Licenses/Certifications:  Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)

Staff will monitor and follow up on progress as necessary to fulfill the reporting requirements of the grant.
  • Master's degree in relevant field. Minimum 3 years experience.
  • Credentialed as a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in good standing with credentialing authority.
  • Proficient end user of social media platforms.
  • Good driving record.
