Position Description
Provides project management including adherence to budget, schedule and scope. Plans, schedules or coordinates projects activities to meet deadlines. Monitors project compliance. Coordinates the overall integration of the project. Supervises and directs project personnel; assigns duties and responsibilities.

Major/Essential Functions
The 86th Texas Legislature priorities focused heavily on behavioral/mental health and school safety.  The Campus Alliance for Telehealth Resources (CATR) Project is designated to roll out this program.  The CATR program is led by an executive team including the Director of the Texas Tech Mental Health Institute, the Chair of the Psychiatry Department, and the Executive Vice President and Director for the F. Marie Hall Institute for Rural and Community Health.  This position to be part of this new program. 

The project manager maintains collaborative relations with rural community partners and internal ECHO staff. Develops educational courses and course materials. Performs outreach to all the current and future stakeholders. Delivers training of all stakeholders. Keeps accurate records.
  • Coordinates development and publication of course offerings and semester schedules with faculty and departmental representatives.
  • Conducts on-site registration and fee payment for students at remote sites, as appropriate to the individual educational activity and administrative structure.
  • Provides administrative and informational support and guidance to students of distance education programs, as appropriate to the position; may serve as administrative liaison between students, faculty, and site administration, as appropriate.
  • Collaborates in the training of physicians, nursing staff and community health workers as appropriate; coordinates in-service training, continuing education, orientation, competency reviews, and other related training functions.
  • Develops and updates educational/curriculum materials.
  • Conducts onsite and virtual training to recruit new spokes.
  • Develops and updates educational and curriculum materials.
  • Conducts onsite and virtual training to maintain and recruit Spoke participants.
  • May provide outreach education and/or clinical services in specified specialty areas.
  • Coordinates the development and preparation of marketing and promotional plans and/or materials, as appropriate to the program.

  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Records maintenance skills.
  • Ability to compile and produce course catalogs and promotional materials.
  • Knowledge of customer service standards and procedures.
  • Knowledge of distance learning technology.
  • Ability to supervise and train assigned staff.
  • Knowledge of student registration, academic, and residency requirements.
  • Ability to investigate and analyze information and draw conclusions.
  • Organizing and coordinating skills.
  • Experience organizing and coordinating educational presentations;
  • Ability to communicate in a friendly approach and appropriate manner with healthcare providers in rural and underserved clinics and other stakeholders to ensure appropriate best practice in disease management;
  • Experience with customer service.
