Position Description
The Programmer Analyst IV's role is to assist with the development of project plans to test, analyze, and maintain software applications in support of business requirements. This position is also responsible for supervising and/or leading the development of new systems, directing changes to existing systems, controlling the interfaces between the systems, initiating complex feasibility studies, and making recommendations of the action to be taken. The position is also expected to assist senior departmental management in determining the strategic IT direction for the area and/or unit and, as such, may interface with key IT leadership. Discretion and sound judgment is expected.

Major/Essential Functions
*Leads the development and supervises the implementation and maintenance of software/web applications produced for the School of Health Professions.
*Works with the Senior Director of Educational Technology & Support Services to set strategic goals for the department.  
*Works with the Associate Dean for Admissions and Student Affairs to develop applications specifically for the Office of Admissions and Student Affairs.
*Provides academic and technical support for faculty, staff, and students relating to hardware, software, educational, and integration issues.
*Provides learning management system technical support for SHP faculty, staff, and students.
*Works toward advancing SHP goals and mission as a member of the SHP Educational Technology Team as directed by the SHP Senior Director of Educational Technology & Support Services.
*Maintains records of customer contact and resolution via the SHP Educational Technology work order system.
*Creates, coordinates, and participates in SHP faculty and staff training sessions.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area plus five (5) years related full-time paid experience OR a combination of related education and/or experience.
