Position Description
The Programmer Analyst III's role is to develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications in support of business requirements. This position will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle. Additionally, the Programmer Analyst III is also responsible for supervising and/or leading the development of new systems, directing changes to existing systems and controlling the interfaces between the systems, initiating complex feasibility studies and making recommendations of the action to be taken.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Provides functional and technical expertise relating to all departmental applications and the department's student database. Includes, but is not limited to, Advise, Recruit, Axiom, etc...
  • Provides functional and technical expertise relating to all departmental applications and the department's student database. Includes, but is not limited to, Advise, Recruit, Axiom, etc...
  • Creates and modifies student data reports; analyzes and recommends system improvements.
  • Provides adhoc and standardized reports to user areas.
  • Manages technical procedures that support office operations, new initiatives, and projects
  • Works in a team environment with the programming staff at TTU/TTUHSC and in cooperation with the standards and guidelines
  • established by the IS Department at TTU/TTUHSC
  • Plans and organizes Degree Works system.  Works with school personnel and registrar staff to ensure accuracy of the data for each degree program offered at HSC.
  • Responsible for submitting National Clearinghouse reports for TTUHSC including verification of graduation terms and errors.
  • Maintains accuracy of automated data processing system practices, procedures and reports

Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area plus three (3) years related full-time paid experience OR a combination of related education and/or experience.
