Position Description
The Programmer Analyst II's role is to develop, test, analyze, and maintain software applications in support of business requirements. This includes writing, coding, testing, and analyzing software programs and applications. The Programmer Analyst II will also research, design, document, and modify software specifications throughout the production life cycle.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Develop web content and presentation material of educational materials related to the SON eLearning programs
  • Collaborate in providing instructions and training to students and faculty in the use of online educational material
  • Maintain appropriate communication with SON technology staff to assure appropriate integration of the process and products within the resources of the TTUHSC computing infrastructure
  • Assist SON technology staff and faculty with the preparation and deployment of eLearning materials
  • Answer faculty, staff, and students' questions concerning the tasks assigned often providing guidance, expanded instructions or clarified directions
  • Perform other related duties similar in scope and complexity
  • Performs additional duties as required by supervisor
  • Supports the ServicePlus philosophy of Texas Tech

  • Able to provide Learning Management System (LMS) support for SON online programs
  • Maintains and compiles resource information and acts as an educational IT resource for staff, faculty, and students
  • Excellent organizational skills

  • The ability to multi-task duties
  • Can work as an individual and team player

Pay Statement

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree with coursework in computer science, MIS, IT, or other related area plus one (1) year related full-time paid experience OR a combination of related education and/or experience to equal five (5) years. (Work experience excludes volunteer work).
