  • American Board of Internal Medicine certification in Infectious Disease
  • Completion of an accredited residency and sub specialty certifications/training in infectious diseases.
  • Experience with Graduate Medical Education is preferred but not required.
  • Current (or eligible for) unrestricted licensure as a Physician in Texas. 
  • Current DEA certification.
  • Eligible for malpractice insurance.

Occasional Duties
The chief will lead the clinical practice, the academic enterprise, and the research programs of the division. The chief will also advance various multidisciplinary initiatives at the various hospital partners of the TTUHSC.  Ideal candidate should be a clinician or clinician scientist with excellent leadership skills along with experience in the core missions of the school of medicine namely clinical care, teaching, research and community service. The candidate should be American Board of Internal Medicine board certified in infectious disease. Candidate with current extra mural funding, though not required, is preferred.
