Position Description
Manages a unit within a department. Plans, organizes and develops goals and procedures for the unit. Represents the unit to administrators, outside agencies and others on relevant matters. Supervises subordinate staff.

Major/Essential Functions

Assist the SHP Marketing team with digital strategy to support the School of Health Professions (SHP) mission.

Work collaboratively with the SHP Marketing team to enhance SHP brand awareness.

Create content for various media platforms and digital communication for the TTUHSC School of Health Professions to prospective students, current students, staff, and faculty to attract quality applicants and achieve enrollment goals.

Oversee and manage digital design and communication projects to elevate the SHP brand and improve digital presence relative to strategic goals.

Write and edit stories and other content for diverse media platforms. Work collaboratively to enhance the SHP social media presence. Actively seeks out student, faculty, staff and alumni stories that support the strategic messages of the SHP.

Assist in the implementation of digital communication plans, collateral, and assets for print, advertisements, and videos to support student recruitment and retention efforts.

Manage the social media presence for the SHP.

Create video, audio, and still deliverables appropriate for print, digital images, multimedia, and final video and audio products that accurately informs and engages the target audience.

Coordinate interviews and photo/video shoots as appropriate.

Ensure that all content revisions are reviewed/approved by designated staff/faculty before publication.

Monitor effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of marketing and social media campaigns.  Track marketing metrics and trends. Ensure efficiency and effectiveness of digital marketing.

Demonstrate experience managing multiple, diverse projects simultaneously.

Assist with School of Health Professions special events.

Maintain the ability to work well with co-workers, faculty, staff and students.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience working in higher education or advertising agency is desired.

  • Graphic design experience.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, Adobe Dreamweaver and Photoshop, Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.

  • Ability to think creatively and conceptually with attention to detail while managing many different deadlines.

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; must have a demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with faculty/staff/students, administrators, vendors, and technical professionals in a timely manner.

  • Prioritize multiple projects and deliver high quality designs under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

  • Demonstrated evidence of ability to develop materials and execute campaign in print and electronically.

  • Ability to translate established design concepts/themes into finished pieces.

  • The successful candidate will possess experience in a broad variety of visual communications mediums.
