The IBC Manager will report to the Assistant Vice President for Research Integrity (AVPRI) and serve as primary administrative staff person for the TTUHSC Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC)/and Embryonic Stem Cell Research Oversight Committee (ESCRO).
Primary tasks expected of the incumbent in this position:
Conduct a pre-review of submissions to the IBC and ESCRO, and work with investigators and IBC/ESCRO Chairs and Committee members to ensure that submissions provide adequate/correct information.
Schedule meetings of the IBC as indicated in policy/guidance documents.
Create detailed, accurate meeting agendas, minutes and outcome letters for IBC and ESCRO meetings.
Maintain current and accurate IBC and ESCRO documentation to ensure compliance with federal regulations and institutional policy (meeting minutes, IBC licenses, ESCRO approvals, training records, etc.)
Ensure that required Occupational Health enrollment and CITI training are completed by laboratory staff as required by TTUHSC policy and federal regulations.
Under the supervision of the AVPRI, update policies, processes, and guidance documents related to the function of the IBC and ESCRO.
Provide assistance to TTUHSC investigators regarding regulatory and institutional requirements related to biosafety, recombinant/synthetic DNA and embryonic stem cell research
Provide training and assistance with iMedris software for investigators as needed.
Assist with other duties as assigned by AVPRI

Bachelor's degree with two years supervisory experience; OR a combination of education and/or supervisory experience to equal six years.
