Position Description

Develop instructional materials and products and assist in the technology-based redesign of courses. Assist faculty in learning about, becoming proficient in, and applying instructional technology.

Major/Essential Functions

Provide direct faculty support, ensuring that accessibility standards are established and maintained in course content.
Facilitate trainings for all faculty/staff on accessibility in course content.
Coordinate accessibility in testing situations where needed.
Engage in professional development to stay current on accessibility guidelines, WCAG, and ADA standards.

Preferred Qualifications
Masters degree and 3-5 years related experience preferred. Working knowledge of learning management systems - Sakai and Canvas.
Basic understanding of ADA and Section 504 as it relates to students with disabilities.
Working knowledge of and ability to interpret and explain WCAG 2.0 and Section 508 standards for web content and accessible course design.
Excellent computer skills that include knowledge of assistive technology pieces, and willingness to embrace, utilize, and master new technology.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Outstanding organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines while handling information confidentially.
Exceptional customer service skills required.
