Position Description
Performs coordinative work in the business or administrative operation of a specific department or college. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a department as well as the monitoring operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise staff or student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions
Performs work in a manner that reflects the Values of TTUHSC.
Follows all safety rules set by the TTUHSC Safety Services Office.
Responsible for assisting with Institutional Advancement projects and events as assigned.
Provides administrative support for Chief Advancement Officer and TTUHSC development officers.
Responsible for writing and keeping a log of donor thank you letters for development team.
Responsible for scheduling meetings with donors and prospective donors.
Makes travel arrangements for development team.
Manages portfolios for development team.
Assists with answering phones for department.
Serves as backup for department deposits.
Maintains all purchasing records for development team and works with Financial Coordinator for processing.
Manages collateral needs of the development team, including, but not limited to, serving as the point of contact and ensuring execution of needed pieces.
Serves as meeting secretary, including agenda preparation, recording meeting minutes, assigned tasks and distributing minutes.
Assist with donor and prospective donor research as needed by the development team.

Preferred Qualifications
Attention to detail, planning and organizational skills.  Must have previous administrative experience.  Should be proficient in Outlook, Word and Excel software programs.  Working knowledge of basic office equipment.  Possess strong teamwork skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization.

Pay Statement
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.
