Position Description
Performs specialized work in the planning, conducting and/or supervising of original research at TTUHSC. Responsible for participating in, planning, scheduling and/or supervising research projects and the interpretation of the results for publication. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on accomplishment of assigned objectives and overall effectiveness of project. May supervise research and student assistants.

Major/Essential Functions
Collect and analyze data; Summarize project results; Compile data for progress reports; Prepare progress reports; Track progress over time.
Review and edit data to ensure completeness and accuracy of information; follow up with subjects to resolve problems or clarify data collected.
Prepare findings for publication and assist in analysis, quality control, or data management.  Write and contribute to publications. 
Develop assessment and evaluation tools.
Prepare materials for submission to granting agencies and foundations;Prepare progress reports for the PI and funding agency.

Required Qualifications
Master's degree or specialized academic training beyond the Bachelor's level in a particular field of science or engineering equivalent to a Master's degree. One year research experience. Knowledge of modern research practices, the methods, resources, and standards thereof.
