Performs specialized Post Doctoral work in the planning, conducting and/or supervision of original research. Responsible for participating in a research project associated with Ph.D studies and the interpretation of the results of publication. Work is performed under supervision of graduate faculty members with evaluation based on accomplishment of assigned objectives and overall effectiveness of project. May supervise research and student assistants.

Candidate will be responsible for conducting basic biology and therapeutics of Alzheimer’s disease using cell culture and mouse models. Candidate should be have experience in basic lab techniques, including RNA, DNA, protein, cell culture, cell biology, biochemistry, immunoblotting, immunoprecipitation, immunohistochemistry, Golgi-cox staining, transmission electron microscopy and imaging. Candidate should also be familiar with mouse work, including, genotyping, maintaining transgenic and knockout colonies, intra-perineal administration of molecules, tail blood collection, and cognitive and depression behavioral analysis. Candidate should be able to work independently. Candidate will be responsible for maintaining day-to-day notebook, include ensuring overall cleanliness of the laboratory and laboratory equipment, and ordering and maintaining an adequate stock of necessary supplies.
Minimum Hire Rate
-PhD in cell biology, biochemistry, neuroscience and pharmacology, neurology, nanotechnology, chemical engineering/biotechnology

PhD or equivalent doctorate (e.g., D.Sc., M.D.) in area of project specialization.
