Position Description
Directs, plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of a specialized unit or small department; develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities. Serves as liaison with university personnel and community at large. Works under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Responsible in leading Texas Tech Physicians in process improvement as it relates to patient experience
  • Analyzing survey data specific to patient experience and working directly with each clinic to improve in necessary/appropriate areas identified in the data
  • Supervising a staff of 10 in the Information & Transportation division
  • First point of contact for patient/family complaints or concerns
  • Updating patient rights and responsibilities to be current with industry standards

Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years experience in a healthcare environment specific to measuring and improving the overall patient experience
  • Experience working with survey vendors that measure patient and/or customer experience/satisfaction
  • Experience with direct patient/customer contact dealing with complaints, requests, or concerns
  • Experience supervising a team

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area required plus five years progressively responsible management experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
