Position Description
Directs, plans, coordinates and supervises the operation and activities of a specialized unit or small department; develops and implements policies and procedures, administers the budget, organizes tasks and sets priorities. Serves as liaison with university personnel and community at large. Works under general supervision with broad latitude for initiative and independent judgment.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of policies and procedures for Employee Relations
  • Responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of policies and procedures for Title IX
  • Responsible for preparing and submitting responses to the Texas Workforce Commission Notice of Application for Unemployment Benefits.  Serve as the institutional representative on behalf of the TTUHSC El Paso at all scheduled Texas Workforce Commission hearings and appeals
  • Responsible for providing all discovery documentation for General Counsel and TTU EEO Office
  • ?Responsible for the implementation and execution of training for the campus regarding Employee Relations Progressive Discipline and Title IX
  • ?Manage investigation procedures and research issues to include, but not limited tom working conditions, disciplinary actions, employee applicant complaints, grievances and appeals
