Performs responsible and complex duties associated with a specialized function of a section of clerical employees in a correctional institution

Major/Essential Functions
Responsible for performing varied and complex office duties which require a thorough knowledge of departmental and institutional policies and procedures.

Must exercise independent judgment in assessing need of situations and taking appropriate action.

Provide support and coordination for the Administrative department and assisting the Facility Health Administrator with tasks as directed.

Perform specialized, complex duties to assist in the organization with various projects to include ACA/ORA documentation collections/ folder organization and supply orders.

Work is performed under supervision within guidelines performance based on overall results obtained.

Perform and assist on other assigned duties.

Data entries, answers phones, captures and relay messages, field routine questions for Administrative offices.

Assigned to Administrative area, responsible for completing administrative reporting, documentation and supply order duties as requested.

Perform clerical and receptionist duties under the direction of the Clinical Department Administrator to assist in daily operations of the Administrative Office and clinical department of Correctional Health Care.

Assist with chart pulling, faxing, making copies, and development of forms as requested.

Assigned as Quality Assurance Coordinator Responsible for quality assurance activities for clinical areas, and evaluation of all Quality Assurance (QA, CQI and TQM). Prepares TTUHSC for ACA accreditation.

ORA Audit completion.

Required Qualifications
Education: A minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent. Experience: Three years progressively responsible clerical experience. Additional education and/or related experience to equal three years may substitute on a year for year basis.
