Position Description
The Contact Tracing Program Coordinator supports the Program Director by coordinating and supervising program functions and performing administrative duties related to planning and directing operational activities of the Contact Tracing Program. The Program Coordinator will use the Texas Health Trace web-based data management platform to required duties related to reporting program metrics and monitoring progress toward target goals. Program Coordinator additional responsibilities include scheduling, coordinating project activities to meet deadlines, assisting the Program Director with budget compilation, and making initial contact with community resource specialists. Program Coordinator works as a remote team member, along with the Program Director, Contact Tracing Epidemiology (Epi) Leadspersons, Contact Tracing Case Investigators, and Contact Tracers, to support DSHS and local health departments to perform COVID-19 contact tracing activities statewide. The Program Coordinator reports directly to the Program Director. The contact tracing call center will operate 7 days a week between the hours of 8am and 8pm Central Standard Time. Evening and/or weekend work may be required.

Major/Essential Functions
* Coordinates and performs operations and administrative activities of the Contact Tracing program.
* Assists with recruiting, hiring, onboarding, and ensuring required compliance training is completed for new hires. 
* Meets with Program Director on a daily or frequent basis for program updates, compliance and progress toward goals.
* Compiles and submits reports to the Program Director.
* Enters report data into Texas Health Trace on behalf of Program Director.
* Communicates with project Contact Tracing Epi Leadspersons and Contact Tracing Case Investigators on a frequent basis related to project reporting metrics or deadlines.
* Monitors team compliance with reporting requirements and project metrics toward DSHS goals.
* Assists with coordinating team schedules and tracks daily and weekly team progress.
* Follows all scripts, policies and procedures provided by DSHS, and comply with DSHS training regarding required confidentiality related to personal information.
* Works remotely.
* Meets minimum requirements for Personal Computer hardware and software and broadband internet.
* Works evening and/or weekend hours as required.

* Master’s degree.
* High level of initiative and independent judgement.
* Experience working in a health, human service, or community-based organization or institutional setting.
* Fluency in second or multiple languages a plus.
* Ability to exhibit a professional, positive attitude and work ethic.
* Ability to manage and adapt to change.
* Excellent interpersonal skills required and ability to show empathy and interact professionally with culturally diverse individuals during a time of crisis and distress.
* Excellent organizational and communication skills.
* Critical thinking and sound judgment.

* Texas resident and familiarity with Texas’ geography.
