Major/Essential Functions

This part-time position as a Clinical Instructor in the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Department of Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences entails both direct service provision and supervision of graduate students providing assessment and treatment in the on-campus clinic and at sites in the community.  The Clinical Instructor must hold the Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and a license to practice from the Texas Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (or be eligible for Texas licensure).  This is a 12 month position with vacation, sick leave and other benefits.  Some opportunities to participate in classroom education may be available.

Required Qualifications
Degree Required:
Bachelor’s Degree in Speech or Audiology

Certificate of Clinical Competence from the American Speech-Language Association and license from the Texas Board of Examiners for Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology (or be eligible for Texas licensure).

Academic degree as defined by the academic unit and as appropriate for the position held. Demonstrated record of effectiveness as a teacher, a record of peer reviewed publication and/or peer-reviewed creative activity which has contributed to the discipline or field of study, to the candidate’s intellectual and artistic development, and to the quality of the academic enterprise; a record of professional service appropriate to the discipline; promise of growth in teaching and research or artistic and creative activity
