|This position has executive responsibilities for the short and long-term planning, administration, and management of all fiscal affairs and operational needs of the assigned campus. The responsibilities include budgeting, and fiscal administrative policy and procedures. It requires weekly communication with the Regional Deans regarding projects for Institutional business needs and support from Facilities and Finance when needed. It also includes acting as a liaison for coordination necessary for maintaining corporate functions with the assigned campus, institutional administration and any various state and/or federal agencies that may provide external support. Their line of reporting includes AVP Finance Planning and Administration though they retain their direct report to their areas in Lubbock.|
| Delegated authority from the Lubbock campus; not just responsibility - clearly articulate role of a campus lead administrator with the authority to make decisions after consultation with a team.|
Serve as the Campus "go to" person from the outside agencies and from the University administration.
Remain informed of all campus activities and the impact it has on operations, need for support, budgetary implications and resource needs.
Assure all procedural policies are followed in administration.
Review and make recommendations regarding organizational structure. Have a creative and innovative approach to campus operations to continuously seek improvement.
Manage campus operational budget to include building budget proposals and management of current fiscal year funds.
Travel to Regional Centers to serve in various consultant and committee assignments.
Work with the Regional Campus HR team, security, IT, Facilities, Operations and Finance team, and the personnel involved in their administrations and annual objectives.
Represent the regional campus with the surrounding community and at professional meetings.
Work with the Regional Dean daily with operation needs, wants, space allocation, with coordination from Finance and Facilities as needed
This job has no supervisory responsibilities.
|Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Public Administration, or a related area; Six years of related experience or a combination of education and experience to equal 10 years. Individual must have complete command of the business and financial operations in a College and/or University environment including accounting, budget, and administration aspect of grant and contracts; Individual must demonstrate the ability to manage the financial resources of the campus; Individual must have experience in the specifics of fiscal operations in a health care or educational environment; and, Individual must possess the ability to make long-range plans and policy decisions relative to the financial and physical growth of the assigned campus.|
