Position Description
Manages personnel and budgetary matters for a department or college. Exercises discretion and independent judgment to oversee the activities of staff and the financial processes to ensure fiscal responsibility of department/college. Ensures staff and faculty have the resources to complete their work. Usually serves as a hiring manager and employee service coordinator.

Major/Essential Functions
Manages and coordinates all office activities for the Office Assessment and Accreditation including but not limited to performing the statistical evaluation of educational data, staff support of Assessment of Student Learning Committee, and communication liaison for ACPE and SACSCOC accreditation bodies. General office duties include but not limited to assisting in school activities on the Lubbock Campus and being cross-trained in co-workers' duties.

Assessment:
  • Outcomes Assessment: Coordinates, edits, and manages policies and procedures affecting outcomes assessment programs. Update and maintain webpages.
  • Staff Support for the Assessment of Student Learning Committee
    • Develop, organize, and maintain outcomes databases as assigned by the Senior Associate Dean for Assessment and Accreditation.
    • Coordinate with the Regional Deans office and site locations for school-wide Pharmacy Curriculum Outcomes Assessment (PCOA) testing, High Risk Drug Knowledge Assessment (HRDKA) testing, and Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) activities
    • Coordinate local schedules, correspondence, and student interactions for the Senior Associate Dean of Assessment and Accreditation.
    • Schedule student reviews with faculty for the PCOA examination.
    • Record and prepare minutes from each Assessment of Student Learning (ASL) Committee meeting. Provide draft minutes to the ASL Committee Chair for review within one week following the meeting. Submit approved minutes and agenda to the Dean’s Office for posting to the Web within one week following receipt/approval.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, training, evaluation, reporting, and publication of the annual assessment plans.
  • Oversight of the database granting permissions for Faculty to access the WEAVE and Digital Measures databases for the Accreditation Office and the Institution.
  • Assists with data analysis including database mining, rudimentary statistical analysis, and data preparation and reporting.
Accreditation
  • Oversee the development, research, analysis, and presentation of Special Projects/Reports as needed, for the Dean, the Senior Executive Associate Dean or Senior Associate Dean of Curriculum, Accreditation, and Assessment, as well as the TTUHSC Institution, when called upon.
  • Act as the departmental liaison to monitor changes from the accreditation governing bodies (ACPE and SACSCOC). Update the administration as appropriate. Oversight of the many reports due to these agencies by the governed deadlines. Participate in ACPE and SACSCOC conferences as requested.
  • Participate and represent the School of Pharmacy at institutional accreditation meetings as called the Senior Associate Dean of Assessment & Accreditation.

Required Qualifications
