Position Description
Manages personnel and budgetary matters for a department or college. Exercises discretion and independent judgment to oversee the activities of staff and the financial processes to ensure fiscal responsibility of department/college. Ensures staff and faculty have the resources to complete their work. Usually serves as a hiring manager and employee service coordinator.

Major/Essential Functions

Creates, processes, and tracks purchase orders. Maintains records of orders and inventory and follows up with vendors on shipment and delivery.
Assists with oversight of budget planning and implementation for five areas within TTUHSC Student Affairs.
Process travel by creating travel applications/vouchers and, collecting receipts, documentation, and recording in TTUHSC systems.
Maintain records associated with asset control and property inventory.
Manage the Center’s lobby area. Greet and direct all visitors, including vendors, clients, job candidates, and customers. Keep departmental information accessible.
Assists with regional contracts for student health, gym memberships, vending - communicating with student affairs representatives at each TTUHSC location.
Coordinates safety oversight for TTUHSC Student Affairs, ensuring training and compliance.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience with budgeting/accounting.
Excellent oral and written communication.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and multi-task multiple ongoing projects.
Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
At least three years progressively responsible administrative and/or budgetary experience.
Understanding of and experience with higher education policies and structure.

Pay Statement

Required Qualifications
