| Performs specialized, complex work to assist in the organization and implementation of various departmental projects and programs. Performs specialized, complex work to assist in the organization and implementation of various departmental projects and programs. Responsibilities involve the coordination and supervision of the various functions and aspects of a specific program as well as the monitoring of program staff and operational procedures. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on results obtained. May supervise program staff, volunteers and student assistants.|
| Counsels and assists employees with benefits programs; such as group health, flexible spending accounts, vision and dental insurance, AD & D, life insurance, wellness programs and retirement plans under IRC 403(b) and 457(b). |
Responsible for benefits orientation and explanation of benefit enrollment during the on-boarding process.
Key new hire benefit election transactions into state benefit database. Organizational skill and attention to detail is essential.
Conducts follow up audit to ensure and verify appropriate benefit election input into state benefit database.
Coordinate with Lubbock benefit staff to resolve issues surrounding benefits and claims.
Respond to inquiries related to FMLA processing, paid leave and compliance and any other benefit related question in person or on the phone.
Facilitate, educate and promote employee access to ERS and TRS online.
Participate and assist with summer open enrollment transactions.
Responsible for scanning of benefit enrollment, change and update forms into Extender database.
Assist employees with education about T.I.P.P. (Disability Program) and process for online claim initiation.
Assists employees going through separation to ensure proper completion of forms and off-boarding processes.
May assist with supervision of program staff, volunteers and student assistants.
|HR Generalist duties. Assist HR staff with project planning and management for programs in areas related to employee relations, employee engagement and other ongoing key HR initiatives.|
| High school graduation plus three (3) to five (5) years progressively responsible related experience; additional related education may exchange for required experience on a year for year basis.|
|Bachelor’s degree in a related field. Experience in HR Benefits function of an organization. Experience should include administration of on-boarding, off-boarding and benefit open-enrollment experience. Experience in applicant tracking system also preferred.|
