Key job responsibilities:
Diagnose, treat and direct care independently for patients in the Texas Tech Family Medicine Clinic
Obtain and maintain active medical staff admitting attending hospital privileges at BSA for the purpose of serving as the attending physician on the TTFM service at BSA
Supervise resident physicians, medical students, mid-level providers, and nursing staff in the care of patients in the clinic and, where applicable, BSA
Present didactic conference sessions for colleagues and the learners identified above on topics as assigned by the department chair or their designee
Serve as a faculty advisor/mentor to residents or students as assigned by the department chair or their designee
Complete supporting documentation for patient care encounters and submit charges in a timely manner, as defined by institutional and/or department policies
Academic degree as defined by the academic unit and as appropriate for the position held. Demonstrated record of effectiveness as a teacher, a record of peer reviewed publication and/or peer-reviewed creative activity which has contributed to the discipline or field of study, to the candidate’s intellectual and artistic development, and to the quality of the academic enterprise; a record of professional service appropriate to the discipline; promise of growth in teaching and research or artistic and creative activity
