Contributes to the university’s mission through teaching, research and service, some variation by academic unit.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Provide clinical services at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center Amarillo Psychiatry Clinic
  • Provide some contractual services should the opportunities be beneficial to the Department
  • Teach TTUHSC medical students on the Amarillo Campus
  • Provide some telemedicine services
  • Be available for consultation/liaison services at the two major hospitals in Amarillo, Baptist St. Anthony’s Hospital and Northwest Texas Hospital
  • Be willing to provide didactics and oversight for a psychiatry residency

salary commensurate with related education, experience and/or skills

Preferred Qualifications
  • Board certified child psychiatrist or psychiatrist who is eligible for a board certificate in child psychiatry. 
  • Permanent or temporary Texas medical license or eligible for a Texas medical license.

    Position will be filled at the appropriate faculty rank based on selected candidate’s qualifications.

Pay Statement
Compensation is commensurate upon the qualifications of the individual selected and budgetary guidelines of the hiring department, as well as, the institutional pay plan. For additional information, please reference the institutional pay plan on the Human Resources webpage.

Occasional Duties
Travel to conferences, lectures to other clinical departments’ faculty, students and residents, Grand Rounds presentations, and involvement as a member on an academic or administrative committee.

Required Qualifications
