Position Description
Performs administrative and supervisory work related to the management of a specialized unit; usually reports to a Director. Responsibilities encompass the coordination of activities involved in the management of the unit or support services. Work is performed under general supervision with evaluation based on attainment of established goals; may be responsible for supervision of all employees assigned to the unit of responsibility.

Major/Essential Functions
  • Provides leadership in the absence of the Director or on behalf of the Director as requested.
  • Advise and guide administrators and other supervisors in handling job performance concerns or in carrying out investigations of alleged employee misconduct
  • Assists in the preparation of reports.
  • Educate supervisors on policies, process and procedures related to HR activities.
  • Process unemployment claims.
  • Assists in the processing of Family and Medical Leave requests. 
  • Supervises four HR Generalists.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in related area required plus four years progressively responsible supervisory experience. Additional education may substitute for experience on a year for year basis.
