Major/Essential Functions
The Alumni Relations Manager will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong teamwork skills and ability to assist and support in initiating and communicating new and innovative ideas for success, ability to create diplomatic relationships with students (future alumni), current alumni, and colleagues to enhance and grow membership of the Alumni Association.

  • Under the direction of the Strategic Initiative Director and National Advisory Board, develop a strategic vision and annual plan for Alumni Relations Department. Successfully executes plan according to timeline and budget.   
  • Serve as Membership Liaison, Special Event Coordinator and National Advisory Board Coordinator (see duties below).   
  • Represent the Office of Alumni Relations at various meetings promoting existing programs, new programs and policies of TTUHSC.  
  • Maintain effective working relationships with faculty, staff, students and community members to continually promote the Office of Alumni Relations.   
  • Establish and build relationships with alumni.  
  • Under the direction of the Strategic Initiative Director, TTUHSC President and Deans, execute the annual selection and awarding of the Distinguished Alumni awards.    
  • Collaborate with Development team regarding Alumni event details and scheduling, special fundraising project efforts and potential donors gifts.  
  • Contribute alumni content and success stories to university publications including Pulse, Daily Dose, Statline etc.  ?
  • Travel and evening events required.
 
  • Membership Liaison: ?
    • Support and implement the development of all membership activities including appeal efforts, recruitment materials, print, and electronic communications and other marketing materials.  
    • Maintain and update membership lists, track renewals and new members.  
    • Manage membership benefits and execute new program/benefit development.  
    • Execute all alumni correspondence including member packets, thank you notes and stewardship efforts.  
    • Respond promptly to inquiries from current and prospective members. 
    • Effectively manage budget and timelines associated with membership activities.
    • Execute all social media posts for the Alumni Association social media channels and monitor feedback as needed.  
    • Manage Alumni Association app content.  
    • Update Alumni Relations website and pages.?? 
       
  • Special Events Coordinator:  
    • Under the direction of the Strategic Initiatives Director, plan, manage, coordinate and execute all special events and activities related to Alumni Relations.  
    • Effectively manage budget and timelines associated with special events. 
       
  • National Advisory Board Coordinator: 
    • Prepare, under the direction of the Strategic Initiative Director, all meeting materials and meeting arrangements.  
    • Record meeting minutes at bi-annual Advisory Board meetings. 
    • Provide administrative support as needed for Advisory Board. ?
